The Role

Tesco Bank is looking for an experienced IT Analyst within Customer Core Delivery Team (Credit Cards, Payments, or Fraud) who are part of CIO. This role is to bridge the gap between the bank’s biggest challenges and opportunities and their resolution and realisation. You’ll be working with the Business, Project Managers, Solution Designers and SMEs to gather, document and analyse their requirements to create solutions.

You will be:

  • Responsible for proactively leading the effort to understand the business requirements and identify how best to translate those into systems solutions
  • Collaborating with key business resources on requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, user acceptance, implementation, and documentation
  • Planning production software deployment activities and provide input into the change management process. Ensure individual and team compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Defining and articulating project scope to stakeholders to help define the shape of project delivery
  • Consulting with the business to understand the desired outcomes to help shape the project
  • Evaluating and undertaking business and IT impact analysis
  • Leading the analysis and design activities on major change initiatives across Tesco Bank; throughout the project lifecycle, continually evaluating and assessing the impact any changes, risks or issues will have on the project
  • Identifying, evaluating, and sizing solutions to meet customer needs and business outcomes by collaborating with our internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
  • Ensuring the system design balances functional, service quality and system management requirements
  • Supporting and coaching colleagues by sharing knowledge and experience.
  • Building relationships with 3rd Party IT suppliers and monitor the services they provide to the Tesco Bank business
  • Engaging with project delivery teams to ensure that service requirements are embedded in project plans to support agreed service levels
  • Working closely with the Engineering community would be good
  • Having Agile ways of working experience would be beneficial.

What you’ll bring

  • Ability to communicate effectively (in oral and written form) with business and IT stakeholders
  • Skills in developing process flows are desirable
  • Experience of decision making and prioritising across multiple short, medium, and long-term activities, often with complex stakeholder groups
  • Enthusiasm and passion to get the job done in a timely fashion
  • Demonstrated knowledge Office 365 products including a good knowledge of excel.
  • Skills in developing process flows are desirable
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues across all levels and to work with them to get the right result.
  • Desirable experience of working with ITIL processes.
