In the role of Employee Relations and Advisory Partner - 6 Months Fixed Term Contract you will support the business on the full range of employee relations, policy, advisory and union issues, in an effective and efficient manner and in line with the bank's values.
In the role you are accountable for:
Effective and efficient management of employee relations cases (e.g. disciplinary, grievance and performance and absence management cases) across all Tesco Bank.
Responsible for ensuring that all advisory and policy collateral e.g. supporting documentation is up to date and fit for purpose.
Supporting the ongoing review and launch of all colleague experience owned policies, in line with the colleague experience policy framework.
Engagement with business areas on proposed policy changes to understand business impacts, including holding focus groups, as required.
Ensuring compliance with all ER & Advisory audit related actions.
Supporting the Management of occupational health referrals and processes, and the delivery of appropriate DSE solutions.
Attendance at union forums within customer service, supporting the people partner, and feeding back any relevant ER & Advisory intelligence or information.
Maintenance of the ER & Advisory teams site, ensuring appropriate governance and data retention periods are followed.
Developing and improving internal knowledge and understanding of ER & Advisory processes, by upskilling colleagues across the colleague experience function.
Pro-active development of relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Developing and improving People Manager capability through advice, coaching and up-skilling sessions on Tesco Bank policy, best practice and employment law.
Maintaining ER and policy trackers, updating employee records where appropriate and other related MI sources to ensure they remain accurate and updated.
Supporting the Senior ER & Advisory Partner with the development of MI and trend reporting.
Management of the ER & Advisory shared mailbox and responding to queries within agreed SLA’s.
Supporting the Senior ER & Advisory partner on policy assurance and relevant reporting obligations.
Also supporting the management of Employment Tribunal cases and pre-claim conciliation processes, as directed.
Supporting the relationship with the recognised trade unions, including in relation to advisory issues, policy issues and collective consultation matters.
Identifying any internal trends that emerge from advisory activity and make recommendations on proactive solutions and/or preventative actions.
Manage Data-Subject Access Requests from colleagues in accordance with Tesco Bank guidance ensuring compliance with Data Protection legislation.
Management of relationships with external stakeholders, including OH, DSE suppliers and legal suppliers.
Support the Senior ER & Advisory partner and ER & Advisory Manager on projects requiring SME input.
Strong employee relations background.
Extensive experience of case management.
Up to date, sound knowledge of employment law and best practice.
Experience of policy development and implementation.
Experience of union relationships and implementation of change.
Involvement in change programmes.
CIPD qualification of equivalent.
