I went through an agency and it was all very straight forward.

British Energy.
What made you change jobs?
I saw this as a fresh challenge and an opportunity to work in a start-up company based in the city centre.
What is the biggest difference you've found?
The focus is different - the governance and safety was very strict. This is a new company; organic; still evolving. It's up to individuals to put processes in place and get support.

I've spoken to friends and family about Tesco Bank and they have shown an interest.

Excellent - I work in a team of 5 and we all work together and help each other out.
Any social activities?
Yes, I work across different teams all whom have a social aspect.
For instance, we'll book an event at the Edinburgh Festival, see a comedian then have a meal.
How did you find the training?
Good. The online website is useful for being aware of upcoming courses.
How do you see your career developing at Tesco Bank?
There are lots of opportunities. For instance, I was working in Infrastructure and I'm now involved in IT portfolio and current account programmes. You get exposure to a lot of things and you can build a relationship across the whole company. It's important to get a more rounded experience and I think progression is more of a longer term thing.
How would you describe your day to a friend?
Busy, no two days are the same. I'm involved in lots of different things during the day and it's very interesting.
What do you do in your spare time?
I play the guitar, go to the gym and I'm currently studying for professional exams.
